All Ivorians are waiting. On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Prime Minister Robert Berger Mambe unveiled C ô te d'Ivoire's first solar power plant, Boundiali. It has opened the door for the realization of other solar energy projects.

When implementing power generation capacity building, special emphasis is placed on developing our renewable potential, including solar energy, biomass, and hydropower, to change the energy mix and fulfill our international commitments to increase the share of these energy sources to 45% by 2025.

The modernization of the power grid is also one of the main focuses of the electricity project in Cote d'Ivoire. On February 25, 2022, Prime Minister Patrick Achi launched West Africa's largest dispatch system in Yamoussoukro, which was a significant event as Ivory Coast now (except for the Abidjan dispatch system) has a tool that provides great management flexibility for the national network.

All these efforts contribute to achieving one of the projects of concern to the Ivorian government, which is to continue and complete rural electrification; Continue to expand the power grid, electrify the entire country, and connect all Ivorians.
