Project News:

Recently, GRAND CABLE successfully won a contract for the Vietnam Block B Gas Project and will supply a batch of high-performance rubber cables for the project. The project owner is PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC), a core subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) and a key player in the country's energy engineering sector.

The Block B Gas Project is a national key energy project of Vietnam, located in the southwestern offshore waters of the country. The development plan includes the construction of a complete natural gas development and transmission system comprising a central processing platform, wellhead platforms, submarine pipelines, and an onshore gas transmission system. PTSC is responsible for multiple key work packages in this project, including the EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, and Commissioning) of the central processing platform and the construction of a floating storage and offloading unit. As of April 2026, the project had achieved 5 million safe work hours, with overall progress exceeding 60%.

GRAND CABLE's rubber cable supply includes various specifications and models, specially designed for marine engineering applications. These cables feature excellent flexibility, oil resistance, ozone resistance, and weather resistance, enabling them to withstand the harsh operating conditions of offshore oil and gas platforms. The cables will be primarily used in the power distribution and control systems at the project site, providing reliable power transmission for platform equipment.

This contract award represents a further deepening of cooperation between GRAND CABLE and PTSC, following the company's first supply to PTSC in June 2025. Previously, GRAND CABLE has successfully supplied multiple batches of low-voltage rubber cables for PTSC's offshore wind power and oil and gas projects, earning high recognition from the customer for product performance. In recent years, GRAND CABLE has actively expanded its international energy market presence, exporting products to numerous countries and regions across sectors such as power transmission, oil and gas, and offshore wind power, accumulating extensive project experience in the specialty cable segment.
